Founded on February 2, 2008, the Indonesian Stem Cell Association (ASPI) serves as a platform that brings together researchers, physicians, business professionals, government representatives, and other stakeholders with a shared goal of advancing stem cell research and its application in Indonesia.
ASPI was established as a follow-up to the recommendations of a workshop organized by the National Research Council (DRN) for Health and Medicine in November 2007, as explained by Dr. Ir. Tusy A. Adibroto, MSI, during the Stem Cell Seminar “The New Era of Biotechnology” held in Jakarta.
